The International Association of Language Centres, IALC, welcomed four new quality schools in 2021 despite the devastating and on-going effects of the pandemic on the study travel industry. During these difficult times, IALC has been able to offer its members support in the form of discounts, webinars from industry partners, new marketing initiatives as well as its on-going virtual town hall meetings and year-round global marketing activities.  IALC members have been able to share best practice advice with each other in order to adapt quickly to the pandemic.  The association’s members were particularly proactive in sharing their expertise on how to set up hybrid classrooms earlier in the pandemic.

The new schools joining IALC in 2021 were:

Edu-Inter in Quebec, Canada

Edu-Inter offers Canada as a destination to learn French for agents and is located in UNESCO-recognised Quebec City. Edu-Inter offers a vast range of French immersion courses, from General French to intensive courses, French with cooking to tennis, to exam preparation and pathway programmes for university. There are also internship opportunities available and of course, all come with extensive cultural activity options.

Converse International School of Languages in San Diego, USA

Converse International School of Languages has amassed over 50 years of experience and is a leader in English language training. Small classes with a maximum of 8 per class means that teachers know each individual student’s needs and the school prides itself on its wide nationality mix. This is a school for the serious language learner, offering basic to proficient standard programmes as well as exam preparation, business communications and more.

Accent Français in Montpellier, France

Accent Français is set in the centre of sunny Montpellier and offers a fantastic range of French language courses for juniors, adults and teachers. The language school also offers exam preparation and specialised courses that are available both in person, online and in a hybrid format. With over 1,200 years of history and miles of stunning Mediterranean beaches, students are never short of things to do in Montpellier.

Etoile Institut de Langue in Paris, France

Etoile Institut de Langue celebrated 50 years of French language learning in 2021 and joined the IALC family in the same year! The school provides French-language programs adapted to the specific needs of individuals and groups, for students of all levels, from beginners’ courses to exam diplomas and university pathways. Set in an oasis of calm in the heart of Paris’ famous artistic neighbourhood of Saint-Germain-des-Pré, the school is just a few minutes’ walk from some of Paris’ most famous landmarks and attractions.
